  • When your primary care physician is not available
  • When you live a significant distance from your primary care physician

  • When you need a prescription or emergency refill**

Common conditions treated by telemedicine providers include but are not limited to the following:

  • Allergies
  • Cold and flu
  • Constipation and diarrhea
  • Aches and pains
  • Sore throat, fever and headaches
  • Respiratory, sinus, ear and urinary tract infections
  • Rashes
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Eating and sleep disorders
  • Smoking addiction and substance abuse

For more information about the telemedicine option, contact your carrier.

* Telemedicine is subject to state regulation and may not be available in certain states.
** Telemedicine physicians will not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, for non-therapeutic use and/or those which may be harmful (potential for abuse or addiction).

Low-Cost Consultations

Doctor and therapist telemedicine visits typically cost less for an office visit, and payment will be collected at the time of your consultation. For your convenience, telemedicine providers will accept debit cards (including HSA and HCFSA debit cards) and most major credit cards. Services provided through telemedicine providers count towards your deductible.
